About the artwork

The artist played sound of a clock and the ocean along with two festive songs through speakers set in the trees: “Tenjinbayashi” sang by the villagers of Karekimata and “Ten tales” sang by a grandmother of the artist. This sound installation consisting of the singing voices mixed with sound of surroundings evoked memories of viewers beyond time and borders.
