About the artwork

Grizedale Arts have been involved in community revitalizing projects based in the Lake District in the Midlands in the U.K. Like the “Seven Samurai” in the film by Akira Kurosawa, the seven artists stayed for over one month to revitalize a mountainous community “Toge.” Their project provided the residents with an opportunity to consider the future of the community; develop crafts, start food businesses, or tourism? The project process was delivered to the world by Internet, and exhibited at the Liverpool Biennale.
