About the artwork
The lighting fixtures for the “House of Light,” completed in 2000, originally used straight-tube incandescent bulbs. With the discontinuation of incandescent bulbs, it was decided to replace all fixtures with LED lighting. To coincide with this renovation, the lighting design has been completely revamped, and the colors of the light will now be presented in a wide variety of variations.The 40-minute program, timed to coincide with sunrise and sunset, used colored lights projected onto the ceiling to stimulate the viewers’ senses, creating the illusion that the various colors hidden within natural “white light” were becoming visible.
