About the artwork
Lotuses grow in bogs, but their flowers are beautiful. Thus a lotus flower represents the Buddhist Land of Happiness. From below the surface water, visitors can look up to an “ideal world” above their head, where the lotus flowers are nourished by a “hope” in the bogs where we live.
