About the artwork

Higashi-Karekimata is a small community located in a mountainous area 30 minutes by car from the city center, where 11 families live helping one another. The artist collected “objects that the residents think are important and want to show to many people,” and displayed them in the city center, in an attempt to demonstrate how value is formed in society. He also made a record of his own activities in the community and showed as a part of his installation.
