About the artwork

Where do the souls of plants reside? We usually only see those plants who stick out their faces above the ground. Are their true figures not hidden beneath the soil? The artist, with this idea, covered a causeway with a red cloth, and the souls administering the lives of cedar, perhaps feeling choked, peeked out their heads one after another. The tomatoes used for the Thematic exhibition were grown and brought by the villagers, who heard the artist saying that he had not been able to find local tomatoes as he’d wished. Tomatoes were delivered everyday, even when the artist was on leave.
