About the artwork

Over a hundred piano wires extend up from a steel container, translucent lunaria seed pods sway in the wind. In contrast to the artificial stalks made of piano wires, green water plants standing straight up and clematis seeds are arranged in a vase. The artist focuses on the aspect of the plant that gradually fades over time. The life of Ikebana exhibition is usually short, lasting one week at the most. Throughout the 50 days of the exhibition, the art changes in form, and thus, a new relationship is born between the artwork and the everyday goings on of the village.
