About the artwork

A sence from a workshop involving people who live in this village, old farm tools, and other local elements. Workshop participants used frottage (rubbing) collaboratively to bring out the surfaces of objects with a long history in the village. The old tools and frottage pieces were displayed in the now closed Higashikawa Elementary School and its environs, as if in a museum.
