About the artwork

Sculptures are created by carbonizing the diverse plants gathered in Echigo-Tsumari. The installation of the charcoal black and mineral-feeling sculptures on the pedestals made of local wood suggests a stroll through the virgin forests of Echigo-Tsumari.
