About the artwork

The artist stayed in the village over a long period together with his students, and worked in the rain gathering firewood and empty bottles and moving them into the Dragon Museum of Contemporary Art, a work by Cai Guo Chang. This work was used as a “kiln.” The operation was supported by the village and the artist, who says, “despite being reticent, the people let me feel the village’s way of being.” The melted and flowing glass was unified with the Dragon Museum and solidified naturally, giving birth to a new shape. On the opening day, which was blessed with a clear sky, the artist and village people gathered to celebrate the completion of the work.
