Information

About the artwork

The artist found various farming tools in a shed of the Matsunoyama High School. The scene represents the sealing of memories and forgotten daily life. The artist attempted to give “words” to the old tools which, once upon a time, performed roles in the hands of people. The farming tools and old textbooks were placed inside classrooms, and in their shadows float the memories of these tools. A space was created for listening to the power possessed by objects and to their whispers.
