About the artwork

The concept of the Totem is that each one is humanized and looks like a person talking with people and giving information including names of artworks, distances to sites, etc. The drawings were mostly inspired by agricultural forms/tools, landscapes and animals of Matsudai, and the other humanized signs were drawn with more free concept with humanized signs. In total about 50 drawings were created.

*For multi-area artworks that are scattered across multiple areas or developed on the Internet, the stamp will be placed at the tourist information center in Tokamachi Station West Gate 2nd Floor during the Triennale, so the location information on the website and applications will show Tokamachi Station during the stamp rally.
