About the artwork

The artist wished to show the rice field, plants, light and trees in the community. He gathered sounds of Oshirakura, such as rain, insects and the wind, to compose music, and asked how nature hears them. The second piece was installed in an old storehouse. You enter the darkness and become enveloped in a deep, metallic sound. Once you become used to the darkness, you can see the hanging speakers and the sound itself.
