About the artwork

I wanted to express in a dynamic way the light and shadow that makes the structure of the building itself interesting, by using the exhibition space and its unique atomsphere and feeling. Both the drawing with gold and silver leaf on cloth that I had commissioned in Tokamachi and the expression using a projector were new challenges for me. The calligraphy was written with cloth containing India ink. I hoped to get the visitors to imagine the history, pride, nature and people who live in the land of Tsumari. I will never forget this work done at the former primary school building, surrounded by the grandeur of nature. I am grateful to everyone who gave me the opportunity to have such precious experiences.
