About the artwork

A solid gigantic construction material, H-steel looked as if it stood in appropriate tension of a pulling wire. Although this series of artworks launched in1970 were always presented outdoor with their foundation buried under the ground, the artist applied a new approach to display this overwhelmingly gigantic H-steel by revealing the foundation structure which eventually filled the entire space with tensions and thus highlighted the strength of the artwork.
