【2022winter】A special exhibition at MonET: Hokuetsu Seppu Adventure　　

Summary

For families exhibition

“Hokuetsu Seppu” was the best-selling book in the Edo Period which introduced life in a heavy snow country. Hokuetsu Seppu Adventure represents the world captured in “Hokuetsu Seppu” through artworks. Night Museum invites visitors to experience the fantastic world illuminated by artworks of light.

Cycling Events

TOUR DE TSUMARI 2024

A cycling event which participants ride bikes in satoyama of Echigo-Tsumari and along the Shinanogawa river. They ride for as long as 120km and run at a height difference of 2,000m as they enjoy artworks and architectural works along the way. With an artist Ito Yoshiaki as a leader, the event has been held almost every year with cooperation from local people since 2006.

Kyororo Spring Exhibition "Let's study and learn about the plants of Satoyama! Plants of Satoyama

Let's learn about the characteristics of plants that grow in the Echigo-Tsumari and endangered species in the Echigo-Matsunoyama Museum of Natural Science “Kyororo” ! Three hands-on events will also be held to actually walk through the for Kyororo Forest.
