[Performers]Ochi Yoshie

Playwright and director Ochi Yoshie, who draws ideas from conversations and play with children, will collaborate with children selected through public recruitment in Echigo-Tsumari to create an original script and stage production. The performance, after three months of rehearsals, will showcase the vibrant and dynamic expression of the region and individuals through theater. Auditions for performers and supporters are open until June 24th.

Echigo-Tsumari Kamigo Clove Theatre

The Kamigo Junior High School closed down in 2012 but was reopened as a new base for the performing arts. Kamigo Clove Theatre functions as a residency, practice facility, and a performing arts stage and theatre. Artists are invited to reside in this facility and lead a "satoyama" lifestyle and learn through collaboration with local people to influence their performances. Within the building is also a unique restaurant where meals are served by local women while they "perform" a theatrical piece. (Opened irregularly)
