Join in creating “asobiba / mimamoriba” for Hojoki Shiki 2018

For families workshop

Yui Inoue is one of the participating artists in Hojoki Shiki 2018 during ETAT2018 this summer. Her artwork, “asobiba/mimamoriba” is a project where the artist continues to weave ropes in the hojo space (3m x 3m). This is an opportunity to join the artist and help create the artwork.

The base facility of the "Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale". The architecture was designed by Hara Hiroshi + ATLIERΦ, who also designed the Kyoto Station Building. Fifteen permanent works by artists from Japan and abroad are on display throughout the year, with special exhibitions held seasonally and a museum shop. In 2021, the museum reopened with a major relocation of the permanent collection.

【Start from JR Echigo-Yuzawa Station】Fresh Greenery and Sansai (Wild Vegetables) Tour
This tour visits Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel, House of Light, and other representative Echigo-Tsumari art sites. Enjoy lunch at an old thatched house, where you will be served handmade meals prepared by the village mothers using an abundance of wild vegetables and local produce. Refresh your body and mind in the satoyama with its fresh green leaves. It takes 1 hour from Tokyo to Echigo Yuzawa Station by Shinkansen.

Reservations are available at Early-bird Price until July 12.
Digest tour of all six areas of Echigo-Tsumari. The tour will trace the history of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, focusing on the base facilities where new works and special exhibitions are developed. You can enjoy lunch at TSUMARI KITCHEN, where you will enjoy a new tour-only menu supervised by Chef Yonezawa Fumio .

[From/to Tokamachi station] B: Tokamachi and Kawanishi route
Reservations are available at Early-bird Price until July 12. 　This course takes you to the Tokamachi and Kawanishi areas on the north side of Echigo-Tsumari. You will enjoy Lunch at Ubusuna House, an old thatched-roof house where local mothers prepare dishes. If you are lucky, you may hear the famous Tokamachi Kouta.
