Kyororo Workshop: Get inspired for summer holiday projects

Summary

① 13:00-15:00 on August 4th (Sat) at Kyororo
Workshop on making insect specimens. Learn how to make specimens by using familiar insects such as the stag or horned beetle.

② 10:00-12:00 August 11th (Sat) at Matsunoyama Shizen Kyuyomura Centre
“Let’s make a plastic insect model” workshop run by Norihisa Hashimoto. By using parts from plastic models, participants are encouraged to make their original insects rather than following the given instructions. Give your unique insect a name and think about where it sits in the eco-system.

③ 19:00-20:30 August 12th (Sun) at Kyororo
The long-awaited Night Museum returns! A special event to explore inside and outside of the museum in the darkness and learn more about nocturnal creatures.

④ 10:00-12:00 on August 19th (Sun) at Matsunoyama Shizen Kyuyomura Centre
A workshop by Hiroshi Shinno, an artist replicating living creatures by using resin. Make a mold from ordinary plants and replicate it with resin!

⑤ 9:30-12:00 on September 2nd (Sat) at Kyororo
A learning event collecting and observing of creatures living in the soil. Have a closer look at these micro-creatures through a microscope and magnifying glass.
