Tango Manga exhibition “I have a dream” at Echigo-Tsumari Satoyama Museum of Contemporary Art, KINARE

Summary

A special exhibition featuring serial manga “101 Frames” by Tango which has launched on the official website of ETAT in July 2019, leading up to ETAT2021. A workshop to draw portrait will be organised during the exhibition.

About the artist

Tango

Born in Shanghai. Graduated from Department of Mathematics, Shanghai Jiaotong University. Researcher at the Academy of Arts and Design Tsinghua University. After graduation, Tango has worked in advertising industry and currently leading a company “Yee Communication (上海朗儀広告有限公司)” while also presenting artworks on-line as a manga creator.

Since 2010, Tango started “one drawing every-day” where he has found a way to connect to a wider audience even he doesn’t feel comfortable having conversations. His style of capturing people’s ordinary life of every day with imaginations and humour has been attracting increasing followers.
