Koji Suzuki

Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1948. Raised on goat’s milk. Since childhood, he has drawn on the ground and dug holes, continuing to this day. Currently resides in Kobe. His live painting performances, featuring improvised depictions using the Super-Ha technique, primarily take place on the streets. Using both hands, feet, and chopsticks on giant canvases, he draws passersby into a cosmic explosion of the great universe! Lately, he’s been obsessed with kneading clay. His picture books include “Enso-kun Rides the Train,” “Ghost Drive,” “Mountain Disco,” “Kobekko,” and “Chinchillaka and the Giant.” His art collections include “Suzuki Koji’s Great Magic Art Collection” and “Heaven’s Slide.” 2019: Featured on NHK E-TV’s “Sunday Art Museum: The World of Suzuki Koji”!
