Book a stay at “Dream House” and “Shedding House” this summer at Echigo-Tsumari Art Field. Enjoy the experience of staying overnight at artworks and specially arranged meals for guests, supervised by CRAZY KITCHEN.
“Dream House” by Marina Abramović was created as an artwork to stay overnight and “dream a dream”, utilising an old minka house. Each guest is invited to experience a life in a countryside, choose a room in different four colours (red, blue, green or purple) to sleep, put on a pajama designed by the artist, sleep leave a note about a dream in the diary.

About meals
Enjoy a dinner, “DREAM BOX”, to start a special experience of being a part of the artwork, Dream House, as you stay, sleep and dream a dream followed by a simple breakfast suggested by the artist.

“Shedding House”, as the name implies, is the artwork which transformed an unoccupied old minka house into an accommodation by curving and chiseling every surface of the space from floor, wall, columns to the ceiling. Guests will receive the special tea towel (tenugui) as a souvenir.

About meals
Enjoy locally-grown vegetables and Tsumari pork in a hot soup (shabu-shabu) for dinner and cook rice grown in the terraced rice field in an earthenware pot for breakfast. Enjoy the entire house while you stay and share these meals with your friends and family. You may like to eat breakfast at engawa (veranda) to enjoy summer sunshine!
