Spring will soon arrive, when many buds will sprout from the silvery winter. Please come to Echigo-Matsudai Satoyama Shokudo to taste the best of the season. We offer a special seasonal buffet of wild vegetables, as well as satoyama plates and satoyama curry on weekdays. We also have a regular buffet. We offer different menus depending on the day of your visit.

Wild vegetables, the mainstay of spring, are the blessings of the mountains brought to us by local wild vegetable pickers.
Please enjoy wild edible dishes only available during this season, as well as our regular buffet dishes.

Online reservations are available for seat reservations.
Seats are also available on the day of reservation. Reservations will be made in the order of arrival at the restaurant.

A world of light blue envelops you as soon as you step into the restaurant. The glass windows and mirrored tables reflect the seasonal scenery seen from the windows of Matsudai residents’ homes, creating a space of artwork (Jean-Luc Vilmut, “Cafe Lefle”). Please enjoy the scenery of terraced rice paddies and satoyama spreading out before your eyes, and the spring of Matsudai.
