The “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2027” begins on Saturday, July 17, 2027. First held in 2000, the Triennale will mark its 10th edition next year.
We are pleased to present the main visual for this milestone 10th edition, along with an overview of the ETAT Passport.

As we enter a new era, we decided to break up the yellow triangle symbol—in a sense, to overturn conventional ideas. In addition to the main triangle formed by nine triangles, another triangle appears somewhere on the screen. This brings the total number of triangles to 10, symbolizing our 10th anniversary.

Currently based in Los Angeles. Primarily through photography, he explores the relationship between humans and nature from Point of Views such as distance, intervention, and coexistence, examining how we perceive landscapes and how we position ourselves within our relationship with the natural world.
In recent years, he has expanded the scope of his practice beyond the framework of photography to explore the relationships between images, matter, and space, as well as materiality itself.
2. ETAT Passport
We are selling an ETAT Passport that allows you to view each and every artwork on display at the “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2027” once.
*Separate fees apply for event-specific artworks.
*“Tunnel of Light” (Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel), “Echigo-Matsunoyama Museum of Natural Science “Kyororo”,” and “JIKU #13 HOKUHOKU-LINE”—which were eligible for discounts at the previous exhibition—can now be viewed with the passport alone.
*The fare for the JIKU Hokuhoku Line is not included.

3. “Echigo-Tsumari Snow Fireworks,” Commemorating the 10th Exhibition
To commemorate the 10th edition of the “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale,” we will hold the “Echigo-Tsumari Snow Fireworks” as a pre-event in the winter of 2027.
Tickets for the “Echigo-Tsumari Snow Fireworks” offer great value, as they include both the “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2027” ETAT Passport (Vouchers) and a Common Ticket for the Art Triennale’s winter program, “Echigo-Tsumari Winter 2027.”
