“101 Frames” by Tango has been launced leading up to ETAT2021!

We are pleased to launch the first artwork for upcoming Echigo-Tsumari Triennale 2021 by a comic artist, Tango from China. He will share his manga drawings featuring 101 moments taking inspirations from Echigo-Tsumari from July 2019, leading up to the opening of the next triennale in 2021.

“In conversation with Tango, we hope to bring you a smile in your busy everyday life” by Fram Kitagawa.

Tango:PROFILE

Born in Shanghai. Graduated from Department of Mathematics, Shanghai Jiaotong University. Researcher at the Academy of Arts and Design Tsinghua University. After graduation, Tango has worked in advertising industry and currently leading a company “Yee Communication (上海朗儀広告有限公司)” while also presenting artworks on-line as a manga creator. Since 2010, Tango started “one drawing every-day” where he has found a way to connect to a wider audience even he doesn’t feel comfortable having conversations. His style of capturing people’s ordinary life of every day with imaginations and humour has been attracting increasing followers.
