Kiyotsu Gorge is one of the three most beautiful gorges in Japan, created by 16 million years of earth history. Visitors can view the fusion of the beauty of the gorge and art in the 750-meter-long tunnel.
*There is a possibility that the Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel may be closed due to heavy snowfall. In that case, we will change the stop to other artwork."

"Kyororo", with its unique long and narrow exterior, offers exhibits on the theme of satoyama biodiversity and artworks inside and outside the museum.

Using local ingredients, village mothers prepare Yukimi Gozen.Each dish is nourishing and flavorful, crafted to sustain life through the harsh winter, and served in traditional lacquerware once used for village celebrations. (The photos are for illustrative purposes only.)

As the main hub of the Matsudai area for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, this field museum—often buried in deep snow—presents artworks inspired by traditional preserved foods, a craft now fading from everyday life.

As the main hub of the Tokamachi area for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, MonET hosts a new kamakura installation on its pond by the architectural collective 6lines studio.

*Yukimi Gozen is served on a tatami floor. Please consult with us if you have poor mobility.
*Itineraries are subject to change or cancellation due to natural disasters or road conditions.

*Arrival time at the final destination may be changed. Please make sure to reserve your return Shinkansen train with enough time to spare.
*When viewing the works, visitors will be walking on snow. Please wear snow boots or boots at least ankle-length.
