This course is to enjoy nature and art in the town of Tsunan, which boasts of its great natural beauty. Lunch is served at "Kamigo Clove Theatre” restaurant where you will taste a special menu served in a theatrical style by local mothers with all five senses. If you are looking for a deep experience at the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, this is the course for you.

The tour starts with the Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel, which has been popular since its opening to the public.
Kiyotsu Gorge is one of the three most beautiful gorges in Japan, created by 16 million years of earth history. Visitors can view the fusion of the beauty of the gorge and art in the 750-meter-long tunnel. The spectacular natural scenery, which changes with the seasons, is also a must-see.

Lunch is served at the Kamigo Clove Theatre's performance-style restaurant. Local mothers perform their skills and cheerfully and joyfully present a theatrical feast that will make you realize the deliciousness of the ingredients grown in the area.

Hong Kong House/Echigo-Tsumari “Kamigo Clove Theatre”
Hong Kong House is a residency and gallery facility that serves as a base for cultural exchange with Hong Kong. This summer, local and Hong Kong residents interacted to complete a work of art.
Renovated from a closed junior high school, Kamigo Clove Theatre is a performing arts center for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale.
A popular work at last year's Art Festival, "Farming implements as instruments!” was relocated and upgraded.

Toyazawa Sand Check Dam was built on the site of a mudslide caused by the March 12, 2011 earthquake in northern Nagano Prefecture. Visitors can experience life in Echigo-Tsumari, which is in harmony with nature, through civil engineering structures.

The artwork enclosed the memories of the closed primary school which stands in the region covered with a thick blanket of snow for more than half of the year. Visitors will be immersed in the world of the artwork created by contemporary artist and light artist.
