MARUYAMA Jyunko

Born in 1976 in Yamanashi. Graduated from City University of New York, Hunter College, BFA. She is good at transforming dairy goods into artworks such as flower field made of plastic shopping bags and drawings on the floor painted by power soap made out of waste oil. She grasps uniquness of materials that are familiar and thus can be overlooked and change their significance through corrections and collections. She presents installations which change scemes.
