Established in 2012 by Ryosuke Uehara (Born in 1972 in Hokkaido) and Yoshie Watanabe (Born in 1961 in Yamaguchi). In addition to providing art direction for companies, branding, products, KIGI has set up an original brand “KIKOF” with artisan craftsman in Biwako area as well as engages with fashion label, CACUMA. They also explore alternative approaches of creation by presenting and creating works in diverse fields born from flexible and free imaginations. Major exhibitions include “KIGI” (2012, Ginza Graphic Gallery, Tokyo), “KIGI Exhibition – Implosion and Explosion” (2013, Hillside Forum, Tokyo),“KIGI EXHIBITION in FUKUOKA” (2015, Art Gallery Artium, Fukuoka), “KIGI in Clematis no Oka” (2016, Vangi Sculpture Garden Museum, Shizuoka) and “KIGI WORK & FREE (2017, Utsunomiya Museum, Tochigi)
