Shikata Kenichi

Japan

Born in Kyoto in 1983, graduated from Waseda University Art and Architecture School. Currently based in Tokyo and Chiba City, he incorporates the surrounding environment into patterns constructed by geometric shapes and material characteristics, creating sculptures, installations, photographs, and more. He has presented at Tokyo Biennale 2023 (Tokyo), Oku-Noto Triennale 2021+ (Suzu, Ishikawa), and the 28th Ube Biennale (Yamaguchi). His permanent installations induce “Flowing time reflecting on the river” (MIYASHITA PARK, Tokyo) and “GLOWING GROWING GROUND” (Osaka International Airport).
