Born in Gifu in 1971. Created and presented dynamic installations which transform exhibition spaces into something out of the ordinary to stir physical sense of viwers. Received Special Prize at “The 6th Taro Okamoto Memorial Award for Contemporary Art” in 2003 and since then participated in art festivals, ran solo and group exhibitions both in Japan and abroad including “Yokohama Triennale 2008” (Kanagawa), “Setouchi International Art Festival 2010” (Kagawa/Okayama), “Power, Where Does the Beauty Lie?” SoMA Museum (2013, Seoul, South Korea), and “Shinji Ohmaki:Liminal Air Space-Time”Ritsurin Garden (2013 Takamatsu-city, Kagawa)
