St. James' Creation

Hong Kong

Established in 1999 in order to create an environment for disabled people to make living as
artists. Core members for creation and education teams are disabled people, aiming to share joy of life and live full life through creating potteries and textiles. The group has presented over 100 exhibitions both within and outside Hong Kong and number of art programs delivered since 2005 exceeds 10,000. It has worked on collaborative projects with
neighbuorhood countries including Japan and South Korea in recent years including Korean International Ceramic Biennale (Gyeonggi-do, 2016) and Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park (Shiga). Currently approximately 20 textile artists and ceramists are working as core members.
