Wu Jian’an

China

Born in 1980 in Beijing. Currently resides in Beijing. Currently professor at Central Academy of Fine Arts. Pursuing his study of China and European ancient Greek myths and histories while exploring alternative method for expression for his creativity and rich ideas. The transformation of traditional Chinese and European culture including patterns and calligraphies into contemporary art with energy have been recognized highly. Wu has presented his works both within and outside China including Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and Chinese pavilion at Venice Biennale.
