We accept the open call for the 9th Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale(ETAT) in from 9 December to 23 December, 2022 .  Also, we show the details and application. Please check them. Please send questions to the project office by email, fax or post. Answers will be announced on the ETAT official website. Please refer to the attached document for details including deadlines. For your reference, the FAQs from the previous open call are listed below. We are looking forward to your application.

【2023/4/7 Information】
Due to the delay in the screening schedule, we are planning to contact the successful applicants individually at the end of March, but will do so in due course. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding. Please understand that we will not be able to respond to any inquiries regarding the screening process.

【12/22 Information】
Regarding the payment of the exhibition fee by Paypal, which has been frequently inquired about:
As stated in the OPEN CALL FOR PROPOSALS, if paying through Paypal, please arrange the payment according to an e-mail instruction you will receive from the project office. (Please note that those who don’t have a Japanese bank account must make the payment via Paypal.)

[12/21 Information]
<Receipt of Public Offering Documents Due to Heavy Snowfall in the Chuetsu Region of Niigata Prefecture>
Due to the heavy snowfall, mailings to Niigata Prefecture have been delayed. In light of the situation, the deadline for submission of documents has been changed from Friday, December 23, 2022 (must arrive no later than 5:00 p.m.) to the following schedule. Submission deadline: Postmarked within 3 days of the resumption of delivery service.

Kurakake Junichi + Nihon University College of Art Sculpture Course, “Shedding House” (works in 2006 from open call)

[Finished] Inspection Tour on 10/30 (Sun.). This is the only day you can tour the proposed artwork site in advance!

The inspection tour will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2022. The tour will be in the form of a one-day bus tour, and will take visitors on a guided tour of the specific candidate sites where artworks are currently envisioned to be installed. Kitagawa Fram, the general director of the festival, will also give a lecture on the 9th Art Triennale. We plan to post the candidate sites on our website by mid-November, but only those who have been selected will have the opportunity to see the sites in person.
