Eriko Kawakami designed merchandise for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, released in 2022, has been selected at Tokyo Midtown Design Hub 104th Exhibition “Graphic Design in Japan 2023”, and is currently on display. Particularly, artist merchandise featuring works by Kohei Nawa, Mé, Michiko Nakatani, and others (top photo) were also chosen by each selection committee member as the most intriguing piece (“This One!”) among all the entries.

Planning and Operation: Japan Graphic Design Association (JAGDA)
The Japan Graphic Design Association (JAGDA), which is responsible for planning and operation, is the largest design organization in Asia with approximately 3,000 members. Since 1981, JAGDA has been publishing an annual yearbook called “Graphic Design in Japan,” which compiles outstanding work and creations by JAGDA members from the past year. It showcases a wide variety of high-quality graphic design achievements from Japan to the domestic and international audiences.
Approximately 2,000 works are submitted by members, with around 600 entries being selected. In this exhibition, approximately 300 pieces from the 2023 edition of the yearbook will be displayed both physically and through visual media.
