Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale Official Tour "Owl Flap Course" (runs from 30 July to 4 September)

Departing from and arriving at Echigo Yuzawa Station, this one-day tour focuses on new and popular works. Lunch will be served at TSUMARI KITCHEN. The excellent lunch, served course style, is an exclusive menu for tour guests, arranged according to the local culinary culture. This guided bus tour is suitable for first-time visitors and solo travelers.

Hachi & Seizo Tashima Museum of Picture Book Art
Picture book author Seizo Tajima's spatial picture book museum utilizes an abandoned school. Ghosts that once existed as students, teachers, and memories of the school are transformed into works of art to welcome visitors. There is also a goat and its kids in the schoolyard.

Nunagawa Campus
The former Nakunagawa Elementary School is a space like a local school for a wide variety of people. The school will feature new works by artists from Japan and abroad, and will also serve as a base for the women's soccer team "FC Echigo-Tsumari," which was born out of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale.
For lunch, visit TSUMARI KITCHEN. Chef Fumio Yonezawa's menu, using local ingredients, is a special tour-only lunch.

We like to watch clumsy-seeming Mountains," which uses speakers to express a mysterious gateball venue at Miyoshi-no-yu, a hot spring bathhouse in Shimojo that closed in 2017, and a textile print work inspired by the rich nature of Tokamachi City. Exploring consciousness and nature" will make its debut. The space has been transformed into a space with impact.

Set in an empty house in the Niiza district, the work began when the artist left an old chair that had been used for many years and was in bad shape in the tatami room.

Museum on Echigo-Tsumari
This is the base facility of the Art Triennale, which was renovated last summer and opened to the public with many new works.
A series of memorial exhibitions will be held in memory of the departed artists and their works.
