【Tour to Tsunan Town】This tour is available only for 5 days from spring to early summer, specializing in Tsunan Town, which boasts a particularly dynamic satoyama environment within the rich natural environment of Echigo-Tsumari. Lunch will be served at "Katakuri no Yado", an inn in an abandoned school in the unexplored Akiyamago, where you will enjoy a special menu featuring a sumptuous meal prepared with the bounty of the mountains. Experience the great fusion of art and nature along with the fresh greenery of Tsunan Town, which recorded the largest snowfall in its recorded history this February, on this official tour. This guided bus tour is suitable for first-time visitors or as a solo trip.

Tsunan Mitama Park
This park, developed by village volunteers, offers a view of the columnar joints (precipitous cliffs) known as "Ishidotoshi. From here, visitors can recall the history of the land unique to Tsunan Town. The name "Ishidotoshi" comes from the fact that the columnar joints sometimes fall down with a resounding crash.

Kaji Seiya「Ryugakubo waste aquarium」/ Ryugakubo Pond
An aquarium with life-size great white sharks and schools of sardines swimming and hawksbill crabs walking appears in the basement of Ryugakubo Onsen Ryujin no Yakata. Materials are made from wood waste received from local construction companies and lumber mills.
In addition, visitors can take a walk around Ryugakubo Pond, located near the work. The water from the pond, selected as one of the "100 best waters in Japan," can be taken home as drinking water.

A large gate in a small park in a village. In Taiwan, it is said that even the simplest house has a magnificent gate. The upper part of the gate is decorated with colorful decorations made by traditional Taiwanese craftsmen called kosihi-yaki, and a buffalo, a symbol of Taiwanese agriculture, peeks out from the front and back.

Hong Kong House/Echigo-Tsumari “Kamigo Clove Theatre”
Hong Kong House is a residency and gallery facility that serves as a base for cultural exchange with Hong Kong. This summer, local and Hong Kong residents interacted to complete a work of art.
Renovated from a closed junior high school, Kamigo Clove Theatre is a performing arts center for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale. Works that were previously shown to the public last year are now on display.

After viewing the Hong Kong House/Echigo-Tsumari "Kamigo Clove Theater", you can get off the tour bus en route and take a local bus and demand cab to the Katakuri no Yado.

Take a local bus bound for Mitama from Tsunan Town Hall to Mitama (20 minutes, 340 yen/person).
