Born in 1981 in Diyarbakir, Turkey. Öğüt is currently based in Amsterdam and Berlin, creates
artworks in a broad range of media including video, photography, installation, and drawing. Starting from social and political reality in daily life and contemporary life, Öğüt creates artworks featuring themes including structural inequality and suppression, censorship, and forms of resistance. Öğüt co-represented Turkey in the Pavilion of Turkey at the International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale in 2009.
