Established in 1997. Nibroll is a dance company led by YANAI Mikuhi (choreographer) with core members TAKAHASHI Keisuke (filmmaker) and SKANK (musician) producing and presenting performances in collaboration with art practitioners in diverse disciplines and architects. Nibroll pursues the possibility of physical expression through performing at not only at theatres but also museums and public space as well as creating visual works. While mainly based in Tokyo, Nibroll also presents works in Europe and Asia and receives attentions including awards such as “Japan Dance Forum Award 2009 Grand Prix” (2009) and “The Mori Art Museum Contemporary Award” (2004).
