Born in 1983 in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture. During the summer holiday of the third grade at primary school, the artist created the first stegosaurus using newspapers and duct tape.
Graduated from the Sculpture Department of Tama Art University with a graduation project titled “Instant Temple” measuring over six meters. Received the 15th Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art (TARO Award) in 2012. Published “Free Research Project for Family – Make something out of newspaper and duct tape” (now an e-book) from Kodansha in 2014. Invited to “In BEPPU” in 2019. Currently, while working at Asuka Gakuen (special support school), the artist creates, presents and runs workshop of newspaper and duct tape art creation.
