Yasuno Taro

Born in 1979 in Tokyo to a Japanese father and Brazilian mother. Yasuno is a composer who continues to pose a question of how music can be by using various media, technologies, methods, and approaches. Some of his masterpieces include series called “Musicinema”, “Search engine” and “Zombie music” series. In recent years, he has expanded his field to both music and art, beyond the conventional framework of a composer, and presented music work for exhibitions by combining contemporary music and installation. He has presented internationally and in 2019 he was selected as one of the representing artists for the Japan Pavilion in the 58th Venice Biennale. He has been appointed as an associate professor at Aichi University of the Arts since 2021.
