A paradise made of imagination and reality in the snow. Try “kotatsu-car” to keep yourself warm or join workshop to make chinkoro (traditional sweet). The popular artwork of ETAT2018 re-appear behind the snow during as spring approaches to the region.

“Palimpsest: Pond of Sky” by Leandro Elrich, coverd with snow during the winter will be revealed for limited duration with snow sculptures.

The artist makes artworks which viewers themselves become part of drawings. “Supernova” in the shape of a star is a slide-shaped drawing created in 2017 which invites viewers to play on. The experience of climbing and sliding reminds people of their respective childhood memories which represents the death and rebirth and gives an opportunity to experience change of the world around you.
A mobile Kotatsu with a bicycle hidden in it – which would keep you warm as you “ride” on the Komatsu.

Much-loved stall from ETAT2018 returns in winter to present “chinkoro”, traditional winter sweet of Tokamachi. Chinkoro made by children will be on display.

Born in 1974 in Kyoto. Her medium for drawing have expanded to explore using mirror as materials or inviting people to experience her artworks. Born in Saitama in 1987. Under the theme of “collaboration across generations of diverse backgrounds”, the artist has organised many art projects engaging local communities. She has participated in Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2018, Hachinohe Portal Museum AIR (2015), “Takamatsu-city AIR” (2016) and “Nakanojo Biennale (2017).
Born in 1984, Yamanashi. The artist has run various artists engaging local people and community across Japan as he highlights place, history and people. He planned “Takeshi Cultural Centre” in 2008 in collaboration with Ichirota Suzuki at NPO Creative Support Let’s. The recent works include ”Continuation of Myth” (2017 Oku-Noto Triennale), “Hitachi Sakata City” (2016 Kenpoku Art), and “Tokui no ginko” (2011- Toride Art Project) and more
