"JIKU #013 HOKUHOKU-LINE" in Hokuetsu Express

JIKU #013 HOKUHOKU-LINE” by Panoramatiks / Saito Seiichi Photo by Nakamura Osamu

JIKU” is a project series that uses light to express axes of regions, axes of viewpoints, and axes of history that have been obscured by urban development and topographical changes, etc. Using the track of the Hokuhoku Line, which has created new regional connections since its opening in 1997, the project expresses the preciousness and energy of connecting points to points. Lighting devices installed in front of and behind the special train will illuminate the straight tunnel in synchronization with the sound. This year again, only passengers on the special train will be able to view the event at Misashima Station on the Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line; see below for information on how to view the event, including the dates of operation in 2023.
