Open Call for proposals - 10th edition of Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale (Entries Open: November 4)

We accept the open call for the 10th edition of Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale (ETAT) from November 4-11, 2025.

This time, you can submit your art project and performance works in two ways: (A) free proposals and (B) Proposal for a selected site/project. In addition, we will also accept new types of submissions, such as proposals that utilize existing works, as part of the project proposal.

The application guidelines for open call and application forms are available on this website, so please review them carefully. Please send questions to the project office by email, fax or mail by October 10. (please refer to application guidelines for contact details). We will compile and answer all questions received on this website. Please refer to the attached documents for details such as deadlines.

For this round, we will accept plan submissions not only by mail but also by email. We look forward to receiving proposals that understand the purpose of The 10th edition of Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, which has been ongoing since 2000, and make use of the rich resources of the Echigo-Tsumari region, including its unique history, nature, and community connections.

Site Visit Tour on September 13(Sat.)

Site visit and lecture by the general director, Kitagawa Fram for candidates

We will hold a site visit tour on Saturday, September 13, 2025. It will be a day-trip bus tour, during which we will guide you through the specific candidate sites currently under consideration for artwork installation, as well as introduce the core principals of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale. In addition, the General Director, Kitagawa Fram, will give a lecture about the 10th edition of ETAT.

【Tour Fee】¥8,000 (Includes bus fare, lunch, and consumption tax.)
