The Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET is a hub facility for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field, designed by Hara Hiroshi+ATELIERΦ. The building is best known for the pool artwork by Leandro Erlich located in its courtyard.Inside the museum, numerous artworks focusing on the nature and local products of Echigo-Tsumari are on display, including Kurita Koichi’s artwork that collects local soil, and artworks by Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger that transform discarded tools and scrap materials into representations of artificial satellites.

The MonET Museum Shop offers official Echigo-Tsumari Art Field products, as well as collaborative products with artists and local specialties from the Echigo-Tsumari region.
*Please note that an admission fee is required to visit the Museum Shop.

The café Salon MonET is open on weekends and holidays through Sunday, November 8. Hours are from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
