The Museum on Echigo-Tsumari, MonET is a hub facility for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Field, designed by Hara Hiroshi＋ATELIERΦ. The building is best known for the pool artwork by Leandro Erlich located in its courtyard.Inside the museum, numerous artworks focusing on the nature and local products of Echigo-Tsumari are on display, including Kurita Koichi’s artwork that collects local soil, and artworks by Gerda Steiner & Jörg Lenzlinger that transform discarded tools and scrap materials into representations of artificial satellites.

The MonET Museum Shop offers official Echigo-Tsumari Art Field products, as well as collaborative products with artists and local specialties from the Echigo-Tsumari region.
