”Two River” is a cafe and a work by Massimo Bartolini feat. Lorenzo Bini. Numerous round mobiles on the ceiling represent movement like the surface of a river. The tables are joined together to form the Shinano River, and the lights on the ceiling emit a warm glow as if tracing the river’s course. The interior of the restaurant, where time flows as leisurely and richly as the river, is sure to stimulate conversation among the customers.

With the reopening of the Museum on Echigo-Tsumari (MonET) in July 2021, Michiko Nakatani’s work “Voices from afar” and a collection of books have been newly added to the gently curving walls of the store.

Relaxing cafe time in an artistic space

Coffee, tea, apple juice and other drinks are available. Seasonal sweet dishes made from local ingredients are also available. Free Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant, so you can relax, think about your travel plans, or just take a break.
