New Developments in Charcoal Sculpture Using Giant Trees from Akiyamago
The artist behind the “Phlogiston” series—sculptures made by carbonizing charcoal—has been creating installations using trees and photographs from Akiyamago since 2022. This time, an artwork made from horse chestnut wood will be placed within a large hollow cavity in a massive horse chestnut log.
