The Akiyamago region spans Niigata Prefecture and Nagano Prefecture. The “Akiyama” project was born from the question of whether the traditional mountain lifestyle and wisdom of this area might offer a new perspective on how we live today. Since 2024, artists have been collaborating with local masters to create artworks, events, and workshops designed to help people learn about mountain life. Why not join the artists and explore Akiyamago for yourself?
