Tanokura is a village located in Tokamachi in the Matsudai area. Rice terraces cover the slopes of the mountain, and natural beech and Japanese cedar forests grow in all directions around Tanokura, creating a village surrounded by rich nature. The Fox Tanokurun event was created for the participants to be able to enjoy this very nature. Based on an old fox folklore, the runners wear fox-shaped masks and run through the beautiful nature of Tanokura village. We invite all runners and supporters alike to enjoy the charm of this mountain village!
