Isobe Yukihisa Memorial: Echigo-Tsumari Kiyotsu SoKo Museum of Art［SoKo］: Special Exhibition

A rare special exhibition featuring paintings by ETAT participating artists will be held in the school building. The exhibition will be renewed to trace the path of Isobe Yukihisa, who has dynamically developed works that visualize the relationship between the people of Echigo-Tsumari and nature from the first exhibition to the 8th in 2022, and to simultaneously show documents of the three projects in 2022.

Hong Kong House Exhibition: "A Double Listen: Yama no Oto" by Toolbox Percussion

The sound-based art exhibition A DOUBLE LISTEN: Yama no Oto is Hong Kong art group Toolbox Percussion’s venture into interdisciplinary practices, featuring various sound artists and composers. The benumbed sonorous objects, among the series of sound art installations, create a sonic experience that is both playful and contemplative.

Akiyamago Oakasawa Branch School Project (tentative)" supervised by Fukasawa Takafumi

As part of the project to revitalize the former Oakasawa Branch School in Akiyamago as a new type of museum, we are continuing our research on Akiyamago's folk customs, beliefs, history, and technology, and will be exhibiting plans of the progress of the project in this exhibition.

Ochi Yoshie "Traveling School"

A traveling play "Traveling School" will be performed at Echigo-Tsumari Kamigo Clove Theatre in October 2023. In preparation for the performance, director Yoshie Ochi will share the joy of theater with children through play and workshops.

Come and meet our "New Rice Delivery Team"

FC Echigo-Tsumari has formed a new rice promotion team called the "New Rice Delivery Team." They will be appearing across various locations in Echigo Tsumari to share the charm of the terraced rice fields and the deliciousness of rice. We will also be selling new rice and rice balls ("onigiri") made from "The Earth's Rice"!

Special exhibition at “Kyororo” : Story of Bijinbayashi: A secret of beautiful beech tree forest in Satoyama

With the theme of Matsunoyama's "Bijinbayashi" beech forests, visitors will learn about the background of the seasonal beauty of the beech forests from the perspective of life in the satoyama and the ecology of beech trees in snow country. Visitors can learn and enjoy the charms of the "Bijinbayashi" from many angles, including a VR experience that allows visitors to take a simulated walk through the "Bijinbayashi" in winter, and aerial drone footage of the "Bijinbayashi" in each of the four seasons. This is an encore exhibition of the Fall/Winter Special Exhibition of 2009. During the snowy season, we also recommend taking a walk in the "Bijinbayashi" with snowshoes.

Kyororo x TOPPAKU collaborative exhibition "Snow Rich Tokamachi that curators and researchers can't help but want to introduce".

This is a collaborative mini exhibition in which curators and researchers from Kyororo and Tokamachi City Museum introduce, mainly through photo panels, the things and things they recommend from their own perspectives about the nature and culture of the Japanese Heritage "Ultimate Tokamachi, Snow Country.
